Crash-land. Explore. Build your way home.

Wander is a new NES game about exploring an unfamiliar world and rebuilding your spaceship. Head out into eight distinct biomes, gather resources, recover ship parts, and bring your discoveries home.

 Build your ship module by module, unlock new ways to get around, and find a companion to help along the way. When your ship is ready and you’ve gathered enough fuel, it’s time to take off.

Explore, gather, build

•  Eight distinct biomes and unfamiliar landscapes.
• A ship of your own design. Arrange connected modules as you unlock upgrades.
• New ways to travel. Speed boots, a jetpack, and portals help you explore farther.
• A helpful companion. Recruit a friend to gather supplies—or let a second player take control using another NES controller.
• An actual NES game. Built within 32 KiB of program ROM and 8 KiB of graphics ROM.

Playing the ROM

Download wander.nes and open it in an NES emulator. To play on original hardware, you’ll need a compatible NES flash cartridge, such as an EverDrive.

This is a digital ROM download; no physical cartridge or emulator is included.

In the upgrade menu, use Up / Down to select a recipe. B or Start closes the menu.

Walk near your ship to deposit your supplies automatically.
